將藥品在冷凍的狀態(tài)下乾燥,從而可以保持藥品乾燥前的形狀。
冷凍乾燥因?yàn)槭窍葘⒗鋬鎏毓潭ㄔ谠缙谛螒B(tài)下,接著只是把水分像“象煙一樣”抽掉,所以能把乾燥前的形狀 (形狀、內(nèi)部、成分、結(jié)構(gòu)分佈)保留下來。
蒸發(fā)乾燥是將乾燥產(chǎn)品熬乾(凝結(jié))、因此會(huì)產(chǎn)生收縮、水溶物(溶質(zhì))向表面移動(dòng)形成一層膜(表面硬化)、發(fā)泡等現(xiàn)象,不管是外形上也好,內(nèi)部結(jié)構(gòu)也好都不能保持它原來的樣子。
